RAZEL (aka Jezebeldeva after it disbanded with some group members) play malevolent rock fuelled by the three points of the rock and roll trinity - garage, metal and holy punk.

Formed in 1999 while still at school, RAZEL are known for their intense live energy and the ability to combine pop sensibility, chunky riffs and metal growls with a pounding rhythm section.

The release of the debut album Big.Thing (Big Wig thru MGM) and the success of singles Suffer in Submission and Grommet has cemented the band's reputation as one of Australia's most exciting young bands.

After an awesome show at LIVID in October 2003 the band farewelled original drummer Claire Obst. Razel began 2004 with new drummer Sarah Thompson.

Andy and Kelly were in for a real surprise when they turned up to talk to TV1 about Big Things for the TV1 Summer Promotion at the Big Cow at Nambour. They were interviewed by none other than Magda Szubanski (of Kath and Kym and Babe fame). For those of you with cable, tune in to TV1 over summer to catch glimpses of the Razel shenanigans at the Big Cow.

Razel performed to an enthusiastic early crowd on the Loudmouth Stage at LIVID who gave a massive farewell to Razel’s original drummer Claire. Andy and Kelly were found schmoozing again with movie stars at Livid and managed to piss-off Toni Collette by constantly referring to her enthusiastically as ‘Muriel’.
